Here at Franks Goods we love a local maker, especially ones with gorgeous doggies. So when Brighton based designer Sophie Darling and I met via our four legged friends and discovered a mutual love of making it sparked an idea. An idea in the shape of Black & Gold...

Our classic Black is the main colour of this collar with beautiful highlights of Gold on the keeper and also across the back band which is visible from above when worn. This collar and the matching lead have been designed for and are worn by Sophie's dog Frida the Vizsla and our very own Frank. 

Our BioThane® collar is available in sizes XS - XL, to fit all dog sizes. Our collars are lovingly hand made to order in our workshop by the sea in Brighton, UK.

We recommend to measure your dogs neck prior to selecting your collar size. For practical reasons our collars are made with minimum strap excess. Therefore if your dog is in between collar sizes (i.e. at end measurement of a smaller collar size), we recommend to go up a size for a better fitting and more secure collar. 

We offer 5 sizes in this collar as per the below:

XS - 8-12" (width 16mm)

S - 10-14" (width 16mm)

M - 12-16" (width 19mm)

L - 15-20" (width 25mm)

XL - 19-24" (width 25mm)

We use set widths for our collars dependant on the size ordered but if you would prefer a different width it is no problem, please just contact us before ordering.

If you know the exact size your dog requires please let us know by adding a note to your order and we can ensure that the collar is made to fit perfectly.

If you are unsure of the exact size, for example if you are buying for a new puppy arrival or you are buying as a gift, then feel free to contact us as we can help you choose the right size. Then if it does not fit we do offer exchanges on our off the shelf products that are not custom made.

A little bit about Franks Goods...

Our mission was to design a range of practical, simple but stylish waterproof collars and leads with swimming and outdoor dog adventures in mind.

Our handmade collars and leads are made of BioThane®, a very strong rubber coated webbing that has a soft pliable leather like look and feel.  BioThane® is water resistant, mould resistant, odour resistant, anti-bacterial and easy to keep clean. The ideal material for any active pup, especially if your dog likes a swim or gets very dirty during their walks, simply wipe it clean afterwards and it will be as good as new.

BioThane® has proven durability in applications where safety, clean-ability, flexibility and strength are critical. It is a trusted brand in a variety of sports, such as equestrianism, as well as in the military and international space organisations. 

BioThane® is the brand name of the highest quality waterproof webbing that is currently available on the market. Genuine BioThane® waterproof webbing is of a higher quality, much smoother to touch, flexuous and more durable with a longer lifeline than other cheaper waterproof webbings on the market.

The material is very durable and strong with an average breaking strength of around 340kg. 

Our collars and leads are 100% waterproof which includes the metal hardware. You won't find cheap alloy metal rivets over here that rust away and fall off over time. We only use solid brass roller buckles, rings and screws on our collars and leads.
