Saigey BioThane® Hound Style Collar

Our Hound Style Collar in Aubergine with a Wine colour wide band designed and worn by beautiful customer Saige the Vizsla.

Our beautiful BioThane® Wide Hound Style Collar has a 38mm wide section of BioThane® across the band of the collar. This wide band helps to distribute pressure more evenly across the neck, providing extra comfort for dogs with long slender necks such as sighthounds. The collar is hand made and secured with our signature solid brass screws which have been fixed with superior strength thread locker glue.

Our Wide Hound Style Collar is available in sizes XS-XL as follows:

X-Small to fit 8-11" neck - 16mm wide buckle section

Small to fit 10-14" neck - 16mm wide buckle section

Medium to fit 12-16" neck - 19mm wide buckle section

Large to fit 15-20" neck - 25mm wide buckle section

Extra Large to fit 19-24" neck - 25mm wide buckle section

We recommend to measure your dogs neck prior to selecting your collar size. For practical reasons our collars are made with minimum strap excess. Therefore if your dog is in between collar sizes (i.e. at end measurement of a smaller collar size), we recommend to go up a size for a better fitting and more secure collar.

Our handmade collars and leads are made of BioThane®, a very strong rubber coated webbing that has a soft pliable leather like look and feel.  BioThane® is water resistant, mould resistant, odour resistant, anti-bacterial and easy to keep clean. The ideal material for any active pup, especially if your dog likes a swim or gets very dirty during their walks, simply wipe it clean afterwards and it will be as good as new.

The material is very durable and strong with an average breaking load strength of around 340kg.
